The last perspectives!
Well.. So I just saw that the views on my blog have still not died. Even today, a handsome figure of around 7 people visited my blog (if the stats shown on the page are correct, that is) So this must be intriguing to those tiny bit of people still visiting it, I mean a post after a good 2 years 1 month and a few days is bound to surprise them, if anyone is still interested at all.
Scrolling down and running an eye through the contents of my blog, I was highly embarrassed. I mean, what pretension! (as one would think) but here goes the clarification- I created this blog a few years ago as part of a stupid and much frustrating MIS assignment. The teacher actually asked to us to write down the names of books we own and the places we've visited etc. That always comes across as outright flaunting. I remember as a result of my posts, I had to dig into the old, dusty suitcase locked in my store room to get hold of a few pics of my visit of Disney land, as a proof, and show it to a friend who just won't believe that I've been there. Now I've graduated from university and I do not get to see my friends on a daily basis and yes, there lies a taint reason of this blog's revival.
Friends are really important for a person like me- someone who'd like to talk a lot and someone who finds it difficult to engulf the expanse of her sentiments within herself. So since now I have lesser people to share my daily experiences with,I just thought my blog could be a substitute for my friends. :) Just today, as I returned from a scheduled interview, I found a courier lying on my kitchen's counter. To my surprise, it was addressing me and was from a dear friend from my university (Ali Ammar). I unwrapped the package impatiently to get through to its contents and to my ultimate glee and merriment, I saw Perspectives!
For those who don't know, Perspectives is a newsletter. We like to call it the official newsletter of IBA, it's main focus being on IBA life, student activities etc etc. My association with Perspectives hasn't been too long (I started being a part of it's editorial board in Sept 2010), but it has been very thorough and very strong to say the least. Everytime a new issue got published, I'd jump and show it off to all my friends and family members and keep flipping over the pages despite being completely familiarized with its contents. I love perspectives! And my association with it has gotten a bit more stronger after I was elected as the Manager of Media and Publications Society which is the second largest society of IBA and hence, all the activities of Perspectives were under my supervision. I always experience a very unusual yet familiar feeling of content, gratification and pride at its publication. However, today that feeling was so different from the usual, today, it was complemented by a sad realization that the publication of this version spelled an end to my short, yet very memorable association with Perspectives. I was alone in the house running my hands over its glossy cover page, my fingers caressing the picture of my bus with my university's slogan over and over again. 'Leadership and Ideas for tomorrow'
I was alone, although I managed to proudly present it to my mother and sister who were too busy watching TV and asking me about my interview and ahit to give Perspectives the importance it deserved! I always loathe people who take Perspectives lightly. I mean I agree that the Purchase Department does procrastinate its printing and that kills its essence, however, I'm probably the last person to blame for, for this delay, so I don't care. I really don't. But what I deeply miss the feeling of jumping around in IBA, and throwing Perspectives in relevant or irrelevant hands with a wide grin spread across my face. Its sorrowful.
Anyways, so here goes my first blabbering and I hope to continue it in future. To my readers: Don't expect much as I'd be randomly ranting about this and that. Just bear with me for sometime till this fever of blogging and ranting gets over me. (Not happening any soon) See ya! :)
P.s: I guess I'm a better writer than this. So don't judge me with this post :p

BOOKS THAT I HAVE!!
A book is a set or collection of written, printed, illustrated, or blank sheets, made of paper, parchment, or other various material, usually fastened together to hinge at one side. A single sheet within a book is called a leaf, and each side of a leaf is called a page.
I have an immense passion for collecting books and reading them. when i look sideways from my desk to the left, an entire bookshelf swarmed with books of all sizes come into view :) The collection ranges from purely islamic books to some highly ultra modern literature, from politics to sports and from self development books to books of fantasy, adventure and wonderlands. I am extremely proud of my versatile collection of books.
I'd like to upload pics of a few favourites:

PLACES THAT I HAVE VISITED---Las vegas, Disneyland, Miami beach U.S.A
LOVE FOR LITERATURE,AN ASPIRATION, DREAM AND REASON FOR BEING :)
In the words of William Makepeace Thackeray: "There are a thousand thoughts lying within a man that he does not know till he takes up a pen to write." For me, this quote epitomises the inspirational value of literature. I believe that English literature possesses an overwhelming power: it has the ability not only to entertain but to challenge its readers to ascertain a deeper understanding of the world. The most recent novel to stimulate my senses in this manner has been Emily Bronte's 'Wuthering Heights'. The complex web of themes and motifs inspired me to question the nature of human relations and to truly exercise my analytical techniques. It has allowed me to deeply understand the technical side of writing, which has consequently encouraged my enthusiasm towards literature to blossom. The subject touches me on a personal level; often there are no right or wrong answers or firm boundaries of 'black and white' and this leaves me with a burning desire to fully submerge myself into an author's work.

My passion for aeronautics, aerospace and astrophysics!
Aeronautics is the science involved with the study, design, and manufacture of flight-capable machines, or the techniques of operating aircraft. While the term—literally meaning "sailing the air"—originally referred solely to the science of operating the aircraft, it has since been expanded to include technology, business and other aspects related to aircraft.
My blog would be incomplete without some material on that. So i've just put pics ;)
